5Look among the nations and see; marvel—marvel! For he is doing a work in your days that you will not believe if it is told.6For behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, the one going to the breadths of the earth to possess dwellings not his.7He is terrible and fearsome; his Justice and his Horror have gone forth from him.8And his horses are swifter than leopards and sharper than evening wolves. His horsemen spread out, and his horsemen come from afar. They fly like an eagle hastening to devour.9They come as a totality for violence, the drive of their faces forward, and he gathers captivity like sand.10And he blasphemes kings and mocks rulers. He laughs at every fortress, and he heaps up dust and captures it.11Then a spirit passes through and transgresses and attributes his strength to his god.
